Benefits of a Used Benross Driver

Upgrade your driver for less

Buying used can make replacing an unsuitable driver more affordable. Put your budget towards the loft, shaft and head design that help you hit better tee shots.

Find a more comfortable swing weight

A lighter setup can suit golfers who find their current driver tiring or difficult to accelerate. Other golfers prefer more weight and a clearer sense of the clubhead during the swing.

Choose more help with launch

Benross offers higher-lofted options for golfers who struggle to keep their drives airborne. Finding enough height can make your carry distance more useful, particularly when the fairways are soft.

Replace a familiar older model

Used stock gives you the chance to find a Benross driver you already know and enjoy. Matching the original model, loft and shaft can help preserve a familiar setup.

How It Works

Every used Benross driver listed on Nearly New Golf Clubs is inspected before it goes live on the website. That means you can compare condition and specification more clearly when choosing a driver.

Checked before listing

Each Benross driver is reviewed before being uploaded to the website. The head, face, shaft and grip are checked, along with adjustable components where fitted, so the listing reflects the club’s condition as clearly as possible.

Clear condition grading

We grade every used Benross driver so you know what to expect before you buy. Whether a club is mint, very good or good, the aim is to make condition easy to understand before it reaches your bag.

Compare the right options

Compare Benross model, generation, loft, shaft model, flex, condition and price. Check the actual listing, because the same head can play differently with another shaft or setting.

Fast UK delivery

Order by 12pm and we will aim to dispatch your Benross driver quickly, so you can get it into play as soon as possible. Check our delivery information for current shipping terms and cut-off times.

30 day returns

You need to feel comfortable with the club off the tee. That is why we offer 30 day returns, giving you time to make sure your Benross driver suits your game.

What Should You Prioritise for Your Budget?

Used Benross Drivers Under £100

Start with suitable loft, a comfortable shaft and the condition of the individual club. A few visible play marks may be an acceptable trade-off when the specification suits you.

Check whether a headcover is included and whether you want a different grip when comparing the total cost.

Used Benross Drivers £100 to £150

Look at what the extra spend buys you. Better cosmetic condition, a preferred shaft or the exact loft you need can justify paying more.

Compare those benefits with cheaper examples before deciding.

Used Benross Drivers Over £150

At this budget, compare your chosen Benross with the wider used golf driver range or a new golf driver.

Consider whether you would benefit from a different head design, loft adjustment or specific draw assistance. The best use of the budget depends on the problem you want the driver to solve.

Used Benross Driver Buying Guide

Which Benross Driver Should You Choose?

Start with what happens when you hit your current driver.

• Low shots with little carry: investigate loft, strike position and whether the club feels easy to swing.
• Inconsistent contact: compare the club’s length, weight and how comfortably you return the face to the ball.
• A persistent slice: consider a head with specific draw assistance alongside your setup and swing.
• A familiar driver that needs replacing: match the complete model and specification.

These questions help narrow the range before you compare prices.

Benross Aero X vs Delta X

Aero X and Delta X have different starting points.

Benross positions Aero X around a lightweight build and help with launch for slower swings. Delta X is positioned towards golfers with faster swings.

The original manufacturer specifications provide a useful comparison. Used examples may have different shafts or grips fitted.

Based on those designs, Aero X is a sensible starting point if you want a lighter feel or struggle to launch your current driver.

Delta X is worth comparing if you generate more speed and want a different weight and shaft combination.

Test how each build suits your timing. The model’s intended audience helps create a shortlist; your strike and ball flight decide whether it works.

What Should You Check on a Benross HTX Driver?

The HTX name appears across several Benross models, including HTX, HTX Type R and HTX Compressor versions.

If you are replacing an older favourite, use the full model name and the markings on the sole to identify it.

Then match:

• Stated loft
• Shaft model and flex
• Playing length
• Any adjustable settings
• Grip size

This is particularly useful when your old driver worked well. A replacement with the same head but a different shaft or length may feel noticeably different.

Which Loft Should You Choose?

Look at how your drives launch and carry before choosing a number.

If well-struck shots stay low and rely heavily on rollout, more loft is worth testing. This can be particularly useful when you need to carry a bunker or play on softer fairways.

If your shots already climb excessively and lose forward distance, investigate strike, spin and delivery before adding loft.

The loft stamped on the head is only part of the picture. The loft you deliver at impact and where you strike the face also affect launch and spin. A fitting or launch monitor session can help separate those causes.

How Should You Choose the Shaft?

Compare shaft model, weight and flex together.

A regular-flex label does not describe the whole feel of a shaft. Two regular shafts can feel different during the transition from backswing to downswing.

When trying a driver, pay attention to whether you can:

• Make your normal swing without forcing extra speed
• Feel where the head is during the swing
• Return to a consistent strike position
• Maintain control later in the round

If you already like your current driver’s shaft, use its full specification as a reference when comparing another club.

Do You Need an Adjustable Driver?

Adjustment is useful when you want to fine-tune the club after purchase. Depending on the model, an adjustable hosel may change loft, lie and face presentation.

A fixed setup can still work well when its starting specification suits you.

Check the exact model before buying. A visible weight or screw does not automatically mean the driver has an adjustable loft sleeve. For example, Benross describes the Delta X’s rear weight as fixed.

Benross Drivers Compared With Other Brands

Benross vs Wilson Drivers

If you are comparing Benross with used Wilson drivers, one useful alternative is the 2023 Dynapower Titanium.

Wilson designed it with rear weighting, a neutral-to-draw bias and a six-way adjustable hosel. That makes it worth considering when you want forgiveness with scope to change the loft setting.

A Benross that already produces the launch and direction you need can be a straightforward purchase. The Wilson becomes more relevant when adjustment would help you refine the fit.

Compare the Titanium version specifically: the Dynapower Carbon was designed with different launch and spin priorities.

Benross vs Cleveland Drivers

When comparing Benross with used Cleveland drivers, decide whether your main concern is getting the ball airborne or controlling a slice.

The Cleveland Launcher XL 2 range includes a standard model and a dedicated Draw version. The Draw head adds specific help for golfers who lose shots to a slice, alongside an adjustable hosel.

A lightweight Benross is worth testing when the club feels difficult to swing or launch. A Cleveland Draw model belongs on the shortlist when your recurring problem is sideways curvature.

Compare the number of playable drives each produces. A slightly longer best shot is less useful if your normal miss becomes harder to manage.

How to Test Your Used Benross Driver

Use the 30 day return period to compare the driver with your existing club at the range and on the course.

Start with your usual ball where possible. Alternate small groups of shots between the two drivers so that warming up or becoming tired does not favour one club.

Check:

• Carry distance: Does it clear the hazards and reach the landing areas you normally aim for?
• Typical result: What happens across a group of shots, including your ordinary mishits?
• Strike consistency: Are you finding a repeatable area of the face?
• Direction: Is your usual miss smaller, more predictable or easier to recover from?
• Launch: Does the ball stay airborne long enough to produce useful carry?
• Weight and timing: Can you make a comfortable swing without having to force or steer the club?
• On-course confidence: Would you choose it on a hole where keeping the ball in play matters?

Keep a simple record of carry, finish direction and whether each shot would leave a playable next shot.

If the driver produces one longer drive but a wider spread of misses, decide whether that improves your game. If distance stays similar while more drives finish in useful positions, the change may still be worthwhile.

Condition Guide

Every used Benross driver is individually checked and graded. Review the head, shaft and grip ratings separately, alongside the photographs.

Mint condition

Minimal evidence of use. A good option when appearance matters to you and you want a club close to new condition.

Very good condition

Light signs of use with minimal marking. Inspect the face, sole and crown photographs to see the individual club.

Good condition

Visible evidence of play, including normal face and sole marks. This can be a sensible option when you are comfortable with some cosmetic wear.

Fair and well-used condition

More noticeable cosmetic wear may be present, including crown marks or heavier signs of play. Review the photographs carefully, particularly the view you will see at address.

Our full golf club condition guide explains each rating. Grips rated below 6/10 are replaced before sale.
