Used Ping sets come in different lengths, lie angles and shaft combinations. That gives you options if you already know which specifications suit you.
We include stated fitting details in our listings, helping you compare an available set with your current clubs or a previous fitting.
Ping G700 irons combine a hollow head and flexible face with a large, forgiving shape. They are worth trying if you want help with launch and carry without moving to hybrid-style irons.
Ping i530 irons put hollow-body distance technology into a slimmer-looking profile. They can suit golfers who prefer less bulk behind the ball but still want ball-speed assistance.
Every used Ping iron set listed on Nearly New Golf Clubs is inspected before it goes live on the website. That means you can browse with a clearer view of condition, specification and price before choosing the set that suits your game.
Each Ping set is reviewed before being uploaded to the website. The heads, faces, grooves, soles, shafts and grips are checked so the listing reflects the clubs’ condition as clearly as possible. Our team also verifies authenticity before bringing clubs into stock, backed by our authenticity guarantee.
We grade every used Ping set so you know what to expect before you buy. Whether the heads are mint, very good or good, the aim is to make condition easy to understand before the clubs reach your bag. Heads, shafts and grips receive separate grades.
Compare Ping sets by model, clubs included, shaft flex, length, lie angle, condition, handedness and price. Choose the head design and fitted build that suit your swing and setup. If you need a left-handed or ladies-flex set, browse our used left-handed iron sets and ladies’ iron sets.
Order by 12pm and we will aim to dispatch your irons quickly, so you can get them into play as soon as possible. See our delivery information for current services and cut-off times.
You need to feel confident with your Ping irons on the course. That is why we offer 30 day returns, giving you time to make sure the set suits your swing and setup.
These examples show what different budgets can buy from our stock. Prices and availability change as individual sets sell.
Our Ping G10 3–SW set is £149.99 with AWT regular steel shafts. Heads and grips are graded 6/10, with 5/10 shafts indicating heavier cosmetic wear.
The set is standard length and listed as 1.5° upright. You get nine clubs, including a sand wedge, making it a broad starting setup at this budget. If you already use hybrids, the longest irons may be less useful to you.
Our Ping Rapture 5–SW set is £219.99 with AWT regular steel shafts and standard length. Heads, shafts and grips are all graded 6/10.
You get seven clubs in a forgiving game-improvement design. The package includes a sand wedge without the 3 and 4 irons supplied in the G10 example, making it worth considering if hybrids already cover your longer approaches.
Our Ping G700 5–PW set is £399.99 with AWT 2.0 regular steel shafts. Heads, shafts and grips are all graded 6/10, so expect visible cosmetic wear.
This gives you six hollow-body irons at standard length, with a stated lie angle of 3° upright. It is a useful route into G700’s launch and distance assistance if that upright build suits your delivery.
Our Ping G410 5–PW set is £449.99 with Recoil ES780 regular graphite shafts. Heads, shafts and grips are all graded 8/10.
The clubs are half an inch longer than standard and 1° upright. Compared with the G700 example, this package gives you a different shaft feel and cleaner condition grades, alongside a different length and lie combination.
Our Ping G425 5–PW plus UW set is £579.99 with Modus 105 stiff steel shafts. Heads, shafts and grips are all graded 6/10.
You get seven clubs, including a utility wedge below the pitching wedge. This example is one inch longer than standard, 3° upright and fitted with midsize grips. Those specifications make it a more suitable option for someone who needs that build than a golfer seeking standard-length irons.
Our Ping i530 4–PW set is £699.99 with Dynamic Gold Mid S300 stiff steel shafts. Heads are graded 7/10, with 8/10 shafts and grips. The seven-club set is one inch longer than standard.
At the same price, our Ping G440 5–PW set has Modus 105 regular steel shafts and standard length. Heads are graded 6/10, with 7/10 shafts and grips.
Choose between these around the shape and build you need. The i530 offers a sleeker players’ distance design and an extra long iron. G440 gives you a forgiving G-series option with a regular shaft and standard-length setup.
Ping’s G-series irons are designed around distance, launch and help with imperfect contact. They are worth considering if your strike moves around the face or you want a head that inspires confidence behind the ball.
Our used Ping G410 irons, G425 irons, G430 irons and G440 irons let you compare generations at different budgets.
A newer model is worth choosing when its performance and fitted build improve on what you already use. An older G-series set can still be a useful option if it gives you reliable carry and suits your fitting.
G700 combines a hollow head with a flexible face to support ball speed and launch. Its larger profile makes it worth trying if you want distance assistance and prefer seeing more head behind the ball.
Compare ordinary mishits with your current irons. The useful result is less distance lost on the shots you regularly hit, alongside enough height to hold the green.
i530 is a players’ distance iron with a hollow body and flexible forged face. It is worth considering if a large game-improvement head feels bulky but you still want help with ball speed.
Judge the fitted shaft and length alongside the head. Our extended stiff-steel example will feel different from a standard-length G-series set with regular shafts.
| What you want to improve | Ping option to consider |
|---|---|
| Forgiveness at a smaller budget | Earlier G-series models or Rapture |
| Launch and distance from a larger hollow head | G700 |
| A forgiving conventional iron setup | G410, G425, G430 or G440 |
| Distance assistance in a sleeker profile | i530 |
| A shorter full-shot option below PW | A set including UW |
The coloured dot on a Ping iron identifies a lie-angle specification. It does not describe condition or forgiveness.
Lie angle can influence how the face points at impact and where the ball starts. A set that is too upright or too flat for your delivery may make consistent direction harder.
Colour-code charts have changed over time, and used clubs may have been adjusted. Compare the stated lie angle with your fitting rather than relying on the dot colour alone.
If you need help interpreting an older Ping set, our golf club consultation can help narrow the options.
Length affects posture, strike and how the club feels through the swing. Lie angle affects the orientation of the head when you deliver it to the ball.
Our G425 example combines an extra inch of length with a 3° upright lie. The G700 example is also 3° upright but remains standard length. They are different fitting combinations, even though the stated lie adjustment is the same.
If your current clubs fit comfortably, use their measurements as a reference when comparing used sets.
Some Ping models are available with different factory loft configurations. Power Spec uses stronger lofts, while Retro Spec uses weaker lofts to offer another flight and distance option.
For example, Ping lists these G440 7-iron lofts:
| G440 configuration | 7-iron loft |
|---|---|
| Power Spec | 27.5° |
| Standard | 29° |
| Retro Spec | 31° |
Those figures apply to G440. Other models have their own specifications.
A stronger-lofted 7 iron may travel farther, but it still needs enough height and stopping power for your approaches. If a particular loft configuration matters to you, ask us to confirm the available set’s specification.
UW means utility wedge. It sits below the pitching wedge and can help bridge the gap to your specialist wedges.
Its loft varies between models and configurations. Compare the carry distances of the supplied PW and UW with the wedges you already own.
Our used Ping wedges give you options for filling the remaining distances or adding a different club for sand and greenside shots.
A 4–PW set gives you seven irons, while a 5–PW package gives you six. The extra long iron is useful only if it produces a reliable distance above the club below it.
If your longest irons fly low or carry similar distances, our used Ping hybrids offer another way to cover those approaches.
If you are considering G-series irons for forgiveness, compare Hot Metal models in our used Mizuno irons and suitable game-improvement models in our used Callaway irons.
For a sleeker players’ distance design, compare i530 with Pro 245 models in the Mizuno range or P790 models in our used TaylorMade irons.
Compare launch, carry consistency and fitted specifications alongside price. A cheaper set with the wrong length or lie may be less useful than a better-fitting alternative.
Use our 30 day returns to compare your Ping irons with your current set on the range and course. Use the same type of ball and include your ordinary misses when judging the results.
Take the set onto familiar holes and compare where your typical approach finishes. Look for a flight, direction and carry distance you can repeat when choosing a club.
Every used Ping iron set is individually checked and graded so you know what to expect before you buy. Heads, shafts and grips receive separate grades, so their condition can differ within the same set.
Mint condition Ping irons show minimal signs of use. They may have been hit only a few times, if at all.
Faces: little to no visible strike wear
Soles: clean with minimal marks
Backs and toplines: clean with little to no visible marking
Shafts and grips: close to new condition when also graded mint
Very good condition Ping irons show light use but remain clean overall.
Faces: light strike marks
Soles: small marks from limited play
Backs and toplines: minor cosmetic marks may be visible
Shafts and grips: light signs of use when also graded very good
Good condition Ping irons show normal signs of play and have been well looked after.
Faces and soles: visible play marks
Backs and toplines: cosmetic marks from play or contact in the bag may be visible
Shafts: slight marking may be present when graded good
Grips: good condition with retained tackiness when graded good
Fair and well-used clubs show more cosmetic wear and are covered in our full condition guide. Any grip graded below 6/10 is replaced.
