Benefits of Buying Used Yonex Irons

Find an earlier set at a lower price

Buying used gives you a lower-cost way to replace an older set or try a different brand. Our Yonex VMS 4–SW set offers eight clubs, including a sand wedge, within a smaller budget.

Compare steel and graphite builds

Yonex stock includes different shaft materials and flexes. The EZONE Elite 3 package has regular graphite shafts, while the CB701 set has Modus3 Tour 105 stiff steel shafts.

Choose condition component by component

Used heads can come with much cleaner grips. Our Elite 3 example has 6/10 heads and shafts but 10/10 grips. Separate grades help you weigh cosmetic wear against the condition of the parts you hold and swing.

Buy the clubs your bag needs

A package starting at 6 iron can make sense if hybrids already cover longer approaches. A fuller set may be more useful if you need to replace both long and short irons. Compare the supplied clubs with the distances your current bag covers.

How It Works

Every used Yonex iron set listed on Nearly New Golf Clubs is inspected before it goes live on the website. That means you can browse with a clearer view of condition, specification and price before choosing the set that suits your game.

Checked before listing

Each Yonex set is reviewed before being uploaded to the website. The heads, faces, soles, shafts and grips are checked so the listing reflects the clubs’ condition as clearly as possible. Every set is also backed by our authenticity guarantee.

Clear condition grading

We grade the heads, shafts and grips separately so you know what to expect before you buy. Whether a component is mint, very good or good, the aim is to make condition easy to understand before the set reaches your bag.

Compare the right options

Browse by model, shaft flex, set makeup, condition, handedness and price. Compare Yonex sets by the launch, distance and control you need them to provide. If you need a left-handed or ladies-flex set, browse our used left-handed irons and ladies’ iron sets.

Fast UK delivery

Order by 12pm and we will aim to dispatch your irons quickly, so you can get them into play as soon as possible. See our delivery information for current services and cut-off times.

30 day returns

You need to feel confident with your Yonex irons on the course. That is why we offer 30 day returns, giving you time to make sure the set suits your swing and setup.

What Used Yonex Irons Can You Get for Your Budget?

These examples show what different budgets can buy from our stock. Prices and availability change as individual sets sell.

Around £130

The Yonex VMS 4–SW set is £129.99 with VMS regular steel shafts.

It includes eight standard-length clubs, with 6/10 heads and shafts and 7/10 grips. This is the lowest-priced used example here and provides the broadest club coverage.

Consider whether you will use the longer irons when comparing its value with a shorter package. More clubs are useful when they cover distances you need.

Around £200

The Yonex EZONE Elite 3 package is £199.99 with EX-E03 regular graphite shafts.

The clubs are standard length, with 6/10 heads and shafts and 10/10 grips. Expect visible cosmetic use alongside brand-new grips.

The listing title states 6–PW, while its specifications state four clubs, 7–PW. Confirm the included clubs with our team before ordering.

Around £350

The Yonex EZONE CB701 6–SW set is £349.99 with N.S. Pro Modus3 Tour 105 stiff steel shafts.

It includes six clubs, with heads, shafts and grips all graded 7/10. These irons are 0.75 inches longer than standard.

This package offers a forged design and shorter-shot coverage. The additional length is a key fitting consideration when comparing it with standard-length stock.

Used Yonex Iron Buying Guide

Start with the available build

The Yonex name alone does not tell you how a set will feel or fit. Compare the head model, shaft and length together.

VMS: fuller coverage at a smaller budget

The VMS package includes longer irons through to a sand wedge. It is worth comparing if you need to replace most of your iron set in one purchase.

Test whether the 4 and 5 irons provide useful carry above the shorter clubs. If they fly low or produce similar distances, a used hybrid may cover those approaches more reliably.

EZONE Elite 3: compare the graphite feel

The available Elite 3 package gives you a regular graphite option. Compare its shaft weight and feel with your current irons over a full session.

Graphite does not automatically mean a club will feel softer, swing faster or suit a slower swing. The particular shaft and complete build determine how it performs for you.

Its new grips are a useful part of the package if you are comfortable accepting cosmetic wear elsewhere.

CB701: assess the head and length together

The CB701 package offers a forged design with stiff steel shafts. Consider it if you prefer that combination and need shorter irons to sit below existing hybrids.

Do not overlook the extra three-quarters of an inch in length. Compare your posture, comfort and strike location with your current clubs. If you have fitting specifications, use them to narrow your options.

Check the gap above your first iron

A set starting at 6 or 7 iron needs to connect with the hybrids or fairway woods above it.

Compare carry distances between your longest iron and shortest hybrid. Each should cover a distinct distance, with enough height to make the shot useful. Browse our used Yonex hybrids if that part of your bag needs attention.

Test the supplied wedges

A set extending to SW can help complete the shorter end of your bag, but check what each wedge does.

Compare full-shot carry with your existing wedges. Try the sand wedge from bunkers and on partial shots to assess its sole and feel. Explore our used wedges if you need a different loft or a specialist option.

Yonex Irons Compared with Other Brands

If you are considering the CB701’s forged design, compare suitable options among our used Mizuno irons and used Srixon irons.

For lower-budget alternatives to VMS or Elite, explore our used Wilson irons. If easier launch is the main priority, compare broader hybrid-style designs in our used Cleveland irons range.

Keep the comparison close in shaft, length and club count. A similarly priced set may cover different distances or have a different fitting specification.

How to Test Your Used Yonex Irons

Use our 30 day returns period to compare the set with your current irons on the range and course.

• Compare shaft feel over a session. Assess whether the graphite or steel build helps you repeat your swing as you tire.
• Check your longest iron. Confirm it provides useful height and a clear carry gap above the next club.
• Test the hybrid transition. Hit your longest iron alongside the hybrid or fairway wood above it.
• Include ordinary mishits. Judge the carry and direction you retain on your typical off-centre strikes.
• Try the clubs from grass. Compare contact from fairway lies and light rough.
• Assess the CB701’s extra length. Check comfort, posture and strike location against your current setup.
• Measure wedge distances. Test the PW and any supplied SW alongside your existing wedges.

Take the set onto familiar holes and compare where typical approaches land and finish. Distance, direction and stopping power all matter.

Condition Guide

Every used Yonex iron set is individually checked and graded so you know what to expect before you buy. Heads, shafts and grips receive separate grades, so their condition can differ within the same set.

Mint condition

Mint condition Yonex iron heads show minimal signs of use. They may have been hit only a few times, if at all.
Faces: little to no visible strike wear
Soles: clean with minimal marks
Backs and toplines: little to no visible marking
Shafts and grips: close to new condition when also graded mint

Very good condition

Very good condition Yonex iron heads show light use but remain clean overall.
Faces: light strike marks
Soles: small marks from limited play
Backs and toplines: minor cosmetic marks may be visible
Shafts and grips: light signs of use when also graded very good

Good condition

Good condition Yonex iron heads show normal signs of play but remain fully usable.
Faces and soles: visible marks from regular use
Backs and toplines: cosmetic marks or bag chatter may be visible
Shafts: possible light marking when graded good
Grips: good playing condition when graded good

We also list fair and well-used clubs where available. See our full condition guide for those grades. Grips below 6/10 are replaced.
