Benefits of Buying Used Wilson Irons

Find a set at a lower budget

Earlier Wilson models offer options for golfers replacing worn clubs or building a bag without a large outlay. Sets such as the Di9 let you compare an established game-improvement design with more recent stock.

Explore a broader sole for easier contact

Launch Pad 2 offers a broad, hybrid-style head designed to help launch and turf interaction. It is worth comparing if your current irons dig into the ground or produce low, short approaches.

Choose a forged players’ design

Wilson also offers smaller, more traditional-looking heads. Compare the FG Tour M3, Staff Model CB and DYNAPWR Forged according to your preferred head shape and the assistance you need.

Find useful wedge coverage

Some Wilson packages include gap and sand wedges alongside the irons. The D300 set listed as 7–SW plus GW is an option if hybrids already cover your longer approaches and you need more clubs for shorter shots.

How It Works

Every used Wilson iron set listed on Nearly New Golf Clubs is inspected before it goes live on the website. That means you can browse with a clearer view of condition, specification and price before choosing the set that suits your game.

Checked before listing

Each Wilson set is reviewed before being uploaded to the website. The heads, faces, soles, shafts and grips are checked so the listing reflects the clubs’ condition as clearly as possible. Every set is also backed by our authenticity guarantee.

Clear condition grading

We grade the heads, shafts and grips separately so you know what to expect before you buy. Whether a component is mint, very good or good, the aim is to make condition easy to understand before the set reaches your bag.

Compare the right options

Browse by model, shaft flex, set makeup, condition, handedness and price. Compare Wilson sets by the launch, distance and control you need them to provide. If you need a left-handed or ladies-flex set, browse our used left-handed irons and ladies’ iron sets.

Fast UK delivery

Order by 12pm and we will aim to dispatch your irons quickly, so you can get them into play as soon as possible. See our delivery information for current services and cut-off times.

30 day returns

You need to feel confident with your Wilson irons on the course. That is why we offer 30 day returns, giving you time to make sure the set suits your swing and setup.

Used Wilson Iron Buying Guide

Start with the head design

Launch Pad: assess contact from grass

Launch Pad’s broad sole is designed to reduce digging through the turf. It is worth comparing if slightly heavy contact regularly costs you distance.

Test the clubs from grass during your returns period. Check whether ordinary misses produce more useful height and carry. The sole can help with turf interaction, but it cannot remove the effect of every ground-first strike.

Di9 and D-Series: compare the complete build

These families offer conventional-looking alternatives to Launch Pad. Used packages vary in shaft, length and the clubs included.

Our Di9 example has regular graphite shafts and ends at PW. The right-handed D100 example has Uniflex steel shafts and extends to SW. Both are half an inch longer than standard, so their suitability depends on more than price or club count.

DYNAPWR Forged: distance with a slimmer shape

DYNAPWR Forged combines a forged design with distance assistance. It is worth comparing if you want a more traditional appearance than Launch Pad while retaining help with ball speed.

The word “forged” describes the construction. It does not tell you, on its own, how forgiving an iron will be. Compare the specific head design and your results on imperfect contact.

Staff Model CB and FG Tour M3: compare feel and consistency

These are alternatives if you prefer a smaller, more traditional-looking head.

The current Staff Model CB and FG Tour M3 packages also have different builds. Staff Model CB has regular KBS Tour 105 shafts and additional length. FG Tour M3 has standard-length Dynamic Gold S300 stiff shafts.

Use your preferred shaft weight, fitting specifications and typical strike to narrow the choice.

Choose the clubs your bag needs

A set starting at 7 iron can work if used hybrids already cover your longer approaches. A 4–PW set gives you more long irons, but each one still needs enough height and carry to earn its place.

At the shorter end, included gap and sand wedges can help complete the bag. Compare them with your existing wedges on full shots, partial shots and bunker shots.

Wilson Irons Compared with Other Brands

If Launch Pad interests you, compare hybrid-style options in our used Cleveland irons range. Assess launch, sole width and contact from grass alongside shaft and length.

For conventional game-improvement alternatives to Wilson’s D-Series, explore our used Ping irons and used Callaway irons.

If you prefer a forged players’ shape, compare relevant models among our used Srixon irons and used Mizuno irons. Keep shaft weight, flex, length and condition in the comparison.

How to Test Your Used Wilson Irons

Use our 30 day returns period to compare the set with your current irons on the range and course.

• Test Launch Pad from grass. Assess how its broad sole handles your ordinary contact, including slightly heavy strikes.
• Check your longest iron. Confirm it produces enough height and a distinct carry gap above the next club.
• Include imperfect strikes. With forged models, compare the distance lost on your typical misses.
• Assess shaft feel over a session. Notice whether the weight and flex help you repeat your swing as you tire.
• Check extended builds carefully. Compare your posture, comfort and strike location with your current irons.
• Try included wedges on different shots. Test full approaches, controlled pitches and bunker shots where relevant.
• Compare approaches on familiar holes. Judge where typical shots land and finish, including their ability to hold a green.

Condition Guide

Every used Wilson iron set is individually checked and graded so you know what to expect before you buy. Heads, shafts and grips receive separate grades, so their condition can differ within the same set.

Mint condition

Mint condition Wilson iron heads show minimal signs of use. They may have been hit only a few times, if at all.
Faces: little to no visible strike wear
Soles: clean with minimal marks
Backs and toplines: little to no visible marking
Shafts and grips: close to new condition when also graded mint

Very good condition

Very good condition Wilson iron heads show light use but remain clean overall.
Faces: light strike marks
Soles: small marks from limited play
Backs and toplines: minor cosmetic marks may be visible
Shafts and grips: light signs of use when also graded very good

Good condition

Good condition Wilson iron heads show normal signs of play but remain fully usable.
Faces and soles: visible marks from regular use
Backs and toplines: cosmetic marks or bag chatter may be visible
Shafts: possible light marking when graded good
Grips: good playing condition when graded good

We also list fair and well-used clubs where available. See our full condition guide for those grades. Grips below 6/10 are replaced.
