The Callaway Epic range of drivers were game changers in golf club design. The Epic Flash was the first driver to have an AI designed driver face in the flash face generating faster ball speed. The same year Callaway also brought two variants; the Epic Flash Sub Zero aimed at players who struggle with ball trajectory off the tee and the Epic Flash Star aimed at golfers with slower or more moderate swing speeds.

Following the success the initial models of the the Epic driver Callaway refocused on AI design for their 2021 Epic driver range. The Epic Speed is designed for a wide range players and at its release was Callaway’s fastest driver, the Epic Max provide players with increased forgiveness while the MAX LS is aimed at players with low spin.
